Snehan's 550 Sq Ft Montreal Studio — Function Over Decor

Snehan's 550 sq ft studio, in a historic Montreal building built in 1927, is a masterclass in functional minimalism. He's made the bold choice to live without a couch, a TV, or even a bed frame, keeping only what serves a specific purpose. Old chimneys are repurposed into hidden closets, incandescent lighting is chosen deliberately to support better sleep, and a rustic kitchen island — found on Facebook Marketplace and carried home on his shoulders — anchors the space. The result preserves the airy, open feel of the century-old architecture while proving that less really can be more.
